Downing's elegant style, beautiful gardens and peaceful surroundings make us an ideal choice for your wedding day. We offer the facilities during the long summer vacation.
We are now taking bookings for 2010 onwards.
Our Facilities
Licensed for civil ceremonies we can cater for up to 160 guests in the Howard Suite or up to 50 in the West Lodge. The college lawns and gardens are ideal for summer drinks receptions and you have a choice of dining locations from the grand classical College Hall to the smaller intimate rooms of the West Lodge. You may carry on into the evening with bar facilities in both the Hall and the Howard Building.
Choosing Your Wedding Package
We offer a special Downing Wedding Package or you are welcome to make up your own.
Wedding Co-ordinator
You will have the services of a dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator to guide you through the planning and details of your special day who will be committed to making this your day to remember offering a friendly but professional service.
