ABOUT OUR FOOD

Using seasonal, organic and locally-sourced produce, Executive Head Chef Stephen Wade and his team provide high-quality restaurant standard cuisine. Catering for a variety of events from Canapés with Drinks Receptions to Gala Dinners in one of the College's function rooms, the dishes are perfectly prepared and exquisitely presented.

WHAT WE OFFER

Private dining rooms for all group sizes are available at Downing College. The West Lodge and Maitland Rooms provide a beautifully intimate space for groups of up to 34, up to the College Hall for events of up to 150 guests.

Our staff are warm, welcoming and are always happy to help. With exceptional attention to detail you can be assured to have a fun-filled dining experience your guests will surely remember.

The College has an extensive wine cellar that offers a wide selection of wines carefully chosen for quality and value. Our wines have been selected to accompany a variety of dishes; descriptions and pairings can be found on the Wine List.

DINING ROOMS

Dinners include silverware, fresh cut flowers, candelabras and table linen as standard, as well as the personal addition of menu cards and directional signage created for your event.

Our Gala Dinner choices use fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients where possible and are cooked to perfection, with a range of accompanying wines to choose from.
